Colorado police are searching for a man they have dubbed the ‘Pink Thong Bandit’ for multiple Indecent Exposure allegations. According to police, there have been numerous complaints about a man flashing women, usually wearing a long overcoat and a thong of some sort. The initial reports alleged the man was wearing a pink thong, earning him his new nickname. The incidents were said to have happened in the Sloan Lake Neighborhood.
A Pink Thong – Indecent Exposure in Weld County
Colorado Law defines Indecent Exposure – C.R.S. 18-7-302 – as when:
- a person exposes his or her genitals to any person in order to offend or alarm for sexual arousal or to satisfy a sexual desire, or
- a person masturbates in view of any person and the act causes offense or alarm
In this case, the man allegedly exposed his genitals to unknown women for a sexual purpose. As a class 1 misdemeanor, the longest Weld County Jail sentence would be 18 months and could include up to $5,000 in fines.
