A man who desperately wanted his ex-girlfriend to have an abortion took matters into his own hands when she refused. This couple, who had allegedly broken-up, ran into each other at a party and had casual sex. The resulting pregnancy was not planned, and unwanted by the man. When he suggested his ex-girlfriend have an abortion, she rejected the idea. He then decided to induce a miscarriage by giving her abortion pills he had bought online and telling her they were painkillers. When that didn’t work, he worried the pills he had previously given her would caused the child to have malformations. He told the court he would not be able to live with that, so, again, he gave her abortion pills, this time covered up with a smoothie. The woman did have a miscarriage and when doctors tested, they found traces of the drug in her system. The man pled guilty and is now facing prison time.
